Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes
       Tuesday – November 28, 2006 – 5:45 pm

Present: Selectmen - Chairman, Conrad Dumas; Selectman, Aaron Kullgren; Selectman George Rainier
Selectman Dumas called the meeting to order at 5:45 pm
Administrative Assistant, Deb Davidson taking minutes
Appointments:
6:00 -  Brian Giammarino – In accordance with RSA 91A:3 II(a) motion by Selectman Dumas to enter into a non-public session.  Seconded by Selectmen Rainier & Kullgren.  
7:00 – Motion by Selectman Dumas to come out of the non-public session and to further seal the minutes. Seconded by Selectmen Rainier & Kullgren.  
Other Business:
·       Selectmen signed P/R checks and approved A/P Invoices
·       Minutes – Selectmen accepted the minutes of 11/20/06
·       Sign Correspondence – There was no correspondence to sign
·       Furnace – The Old Town Office needs a new furnace, Crotched Mtn., is replacing it we will need to work out details later.  Discussion followed, Administrative Assistant will discuss this with John Parisi to see if any funds will be needed, she will report back to the Board next week.
·       Reminder – Tomorrow @ 7:00 pm, meeting in Peterborough to discuss the future of ambulance
·       Vacation Request – Administrative Assistant requested the week of 12/1 off – She will attend the Tuesday night meeting with the Attorney’s, as well as the Thursday night BOS meeting.  The Central Office will be closed the last week of December.
·       Spirit – Selectmen reviewed the Spirit, minor changes were addressed.
·       Budget – Selectmen discussed the budget; Selectman Dumas asked to have the budget and warrant articles available next week in writing
·       E-mail – Selectmen discussed an e-mail from Kathy Carpenter regarding DSL not being available where she is located on County Road.   Selectman Kullgren stated she could call him and he will be happy to discuss it with her.
·       Christmas scene – The Librarian asked if she could set up a scene for children to put letters to Santa in, Santa will return a letter to all the children who put a letter in the box.  Selectmen discussed this, in the spirit of making children happy they think this is fine.  If there are any concerns, the display will be taken down.
·       Economic Development – Patricia Valesco met with the Administrative Assistant, they discussed the economic development in Greenfield; Ms. Valesco will be invited to attend a Planning Board meeting in 2007 to discuss this with the Planning Board.
·       Handicap Ramp – Selectmen discussed options for the Handicap Ramp, they further instructed the Administrative Assistant to have the Road Agent provide a written price for the Highway Dept. to build the ramp.
·       Spirit – Discussion regarding the need for the Selectmen to receive the Spirit in a more timely fashion took place.  Karen MUST get the Spirit to the Selectmen at least one week before it goes to print, if there are articles that will be omitted, that is how it will be.
·       Attorney/Client – The Administrative Assistant was instructed to contact Attorney Teague and update him of all the issues that will be discussed next week with all parties that will be present.
With no further business Selectmen adjourned the meeting at 8:00 pm.  The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 5:45 pm, the meeting will be solely for department heads & budget committee.
